Delete your 9ty account

You can delete your 9ty Football account and the data linked to it at any time, in the app or by email.

In the app

Open 9ty and go to the Me tab → Delete my account, then confirm.
You are signed out and your account is deactivated straight away.
After 10 days the account and its data are permanently deleted. If you change your mind, sign in again within those 10 days and the deletion is cancelled.

Without the app

Email support@9ty-football.com from the address you use to sign in to 9ty, with the subject “Delete my account”. We delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.

Delete some of your data, keep your account

You don't have to delete your account to remove parts of your data. In the app you can:

Remove your profile photo: Me tab → photo → Remove photo.
Delete a chat message or photo you sent: press and hold it → Delete.
Change your display name: Me tab → Display name.
Leave a squad: open the squad → Leave group. Your sign-ups for its upcoming games are removed.
Turn off push notifications in your phone's settings.

For anything else, for example your stats or results in certain games, or all your chat messages in a squad, email support@9ty-football.com from the address you use to sign in, saying what you want deleted. We delete it within 30 days, keep your account, and confirm by email.

Subscriptions

Card subscriptions (paid in the app or on our website) are cancelled for you: when you delete your account, the subscription ends at the end of the period you already paid and is not renewed; if you sign in again within the 10 days, it continues. App Store and Google Play subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so cancel those yourself in your Apple ID or Google Play account.

What is deleted

Your profile: display name, profile photo and email address (your login).
Your squad memberships, game sign-ups, stats, ratings and payment records.
Chat messages and photos you sent.
Ratings you gave other players and invite links you created.
Your push notification settings on all devices.

Squads you run

If you are the only admin of a squad, the member who joined it first becomes its admin. A squad where you are the only member is closed and deleted. Games and results of the squad stay for the other players.

What we keep

Invoices for card payments, which tax law requires us to keep for 7 years. They are held by our payment provider Stripe.
Crash reports and anonymous usage data, which do not contain your name or email and are deleted on their own schedule (see the Privacy Policy).
